Yorkshire Brain Game 2017
On Thursday 30 March, the Yorkshire Brain Game took place at Aspire, in the heart of Leeds city centre.
The evening was hosted by impressionist and comedian, Jon Culshaw. Jon led the evening superbly, providing first class entertainment whilst supervising the quiz. Joining them on the night to host the quiz rounds were Sir Gary Verity, Rosemary Shrager, Edwina Currie, Peter Benson, Mark James and Lisa Holdsworth.
185 guests from companies across Yorkshire joined us at Aspire. Law firm Gordons were crowned Yorkshire’s brainiest business after winning the very special Marie Curie Brain Game trophy, ‘Casimir’. Gordons battled it out against 17 other teams beating off stiff competition from Wellington Place in second place and third place recipients DLA Piper.
The event raised an incredible £95,000 for Marie Curie which will enable us to provide 4,750 hours of Marie Curie nursing care in the Yorkshire area. There are 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses working in villages, towns and cities right across the UK, with over 140 of those nurses working in Yorkshire. In addition to our nursing service, Marie Curie also provides care in our hospice in Bradford delivering the high quality nursing and emotional support that’s needed when someone is dying.
Thank you to all of our guests and supporters for making the Yorkshire Brain Game so successful!
