1. Promoter

1.1 The promoter of the Prize Draw is Marie Curie, a charity registered in England and Wales under charity number 207994 and in Scotland under charity number SC038731, and a company limited by guarantee registered in England and Wales under company number 00507597, whose registered office is at One Embassy Gardens, 8 Viaduct Gardens, London SW11 7BW (the “Promoter”).
1.2 JustGiving provides the fundraising platform used in connection with the Marie Curie 100km Dog Walk Challenge but is not the promoter of the Prize Draw.

2. Prize Draw period

2.1 The Prize Draw will open at 9:00 am UK time on 24 October 2026 (the “Opening Date”).
2.2 The Prize Draw will close at 11:59 pm UK time on 31 October 2026 (the “Closing Date”).
2.3 Entries received before the Opening Date or after the Closing Date will not be included in the Prize Draw.

3. Eligibility

3.1 The Prize Draw is open to individuals who:
  • a. are registered participants in the Marie Curie 100km Dog Walk Challenge;
  • b. are aged 18 or over at the Opening Date;
  • c. are resident in the United Kingdom; and
  • d. have an Active JustGiving Page during the Prize Draw Period.
3.2 For the purposes of these terms, an “Active JustGiving Page” means a JustGiving fundraising page which:
  • a. has been created for and is linked to the Marie Curie 100km Dog Walk Challenge; and
  • b. remains live at the Closing Date.
3.3 No donation or minimum level of fundraising is required to enter the Prize Draw. Making a donation or raising funds will not increase an entrant’s chance of winning.
3.4 Employees, trustees, contractors and agents of the Promoter who are directly involved in the administration of the Prize Draw, together with members of their immediate households, may not enter.
3.5 The Promoter may require entrants to provide information reasonably necessary to confirm their eligibility. If a winner is found to be ineligible, their entry will be invalid and the Promoter may award the Prize to a reserve winner.
3.6 Eligibility will be determined using registration and JustGiving data available to Promoter at the Closing Date

4. How to enter

4.1 Each person who meets the eligibility requirements in clause 3 will be entered automatically into the Prize Draw.
4.2 No separate application, purchase, payment, donation or fundraising activity is required.
4.3 Entry is limited to one entry per person. An entrant will not receive additional entries by creating or operating more than one JustGiving page, making a donation or raising additional funds.
4.4 Entrants who do not wish to participate in the Prize Draw may opt out by contacting liz.brunold@mariecurie.org.uk before the Closing Date.
4.5 The Promoter will not be responsible for an entrant being omitted from the Prize Draw because of incomplete or inaccurate registration information, a JustGiving page not being correctly linked to the Marie Curie 100km Dog Walk Challenge, or circumstances outside the Promoter’s reasonable control.

5. Prizes

5.1 There will be two winners.
5.2 Each winner will receive one £50 gift voucher for Amazon (each a “Prize”).
5.3 Any conditions applying to the use of the gift voucher, including any expiry date, will be subject to the gift voucher provider’s applicable terms and conditions.
5.4 The Prize is non-transferable, non-exchangeable and no cash alternative is available.
5.5 If a Prize is unavailable for reasons beyond the Promoter’s reasonable control, the Promoter may substitute it with a reasonable equivalent of equal or greater value.

6. Selection of the winners

6.1 After the Closing Date, the Promoter will select two winners at random from all eligible entries received during the Prize Draw Period.
6.2 The winners will be selected using a verifiably random computer process. The Promoter will retain appropriate evidence of the selection process.
6.3 The Promoter will also select a reasonable number of reserve winners at the same time and using the same random process.
6.4 The Promoter’s decision regarding the selection of the winners is final. No correspondence will be entered into regarding the result of the Prize Draw.

7. Notification of winners

7.1 The Promoter will contact each winner by email within five working days after the Closing Date, using the email address provided when the winner registered for the Marie Curie 100km Dog Walk Challenge.
7.2 The notification email will be sent from liz.brunold@mariecurie.org.uk or another Marie Curie email address identified in the Prize Draw communications.
7.3 Each winner must respond within seven days after the date of the notification email and provide:
  • a. confirmation that they accept the Prize;
  • b. any information reasonably required to confirm their eligibility; and
  • c. a valid UK postal address for delivery of the Prize.
7.4 The Promoter will make reasonable efforts to contact each winner, including sending at least one reminder to the email address provided.
7.5 The Promoter may treat a winner as having forfeited the Prize where:
  • a. the winner does not respond within the period specified in clause 7.3 despite the Promoter’s reasonable efforts to contact them;
  • b. the winner declines the Prize;
  • c. the winner cannot provide the information reasonably required to confirm their eligibility;
  • d. the winner provides inaccurate or misleading information; or
  • e. the winner is otherwise ineligible or has breached these terms and conditions.
7.6 If a winner forfeits the Prize, the Promoter may offer it to a reserve winner selected under clause 6.3.

8. Delivery of the Prizes

8.1 Each Prize will be sent to the relevant winner’s confirmed UK postal address.
8.2 The Promoter will pay the ordinary cost of delivering the Prize to that address.
8.3 The Promoter will use reasonable efforts to send the Prize within 30 days after the winner has:
  • a. accepted the Prize;
  • b. confirmed their eligibility; and
  • c. supplied a valid UK postal address.
8.4 The Promoter will not be responsible for a Prize being lost, delayed or returned because a winner has provided an incomplete or inaccurate postal address.

9. Winner information

9.1 To demonstrate that valid awards have taken place, the Promoter will publish or otherwise make available the surname and county of each winner.
9.2 An entrant may object to the publication of this information or ask the Promoter to reduce the amount of information published by contacting liz.brunold@mariecurie.org.uk.
9.3 If a winner objects or requests a reduction, the Promoter will consider the request and may publish a reduced amount of information or where appropriate not publish at all.
9.4 The Promoter may nevertheless provide information about a winner and the Prize Draw privately to the Advertising Standards Authority if requested to demonstrate that a valid Prize Draw and award have taken place.

10. Personal information

10.1 The Promoter will process personal information relating to entrants and winners for the purposes of:
  • a. administering the Prize Draw;
  • b. identifying eligible entrants;
  • c. selecting and contacting the winners;
  • d. verifying the winners’ eligibility;
  • e. delivering the Prizes;
  • f. dealing with enquiries or complaints relating to the Prize Draw; and
  • g. demonstrating that valid awards have taken place.
10.2 Personal information will be processed in accordance with the Marie Curie privacy policy.
10.3 Personal information collected specifically for Prize delivery or verification will not be used for unrelated marketing purposes unless the individual has separately agreed to receive such marketing.

11. Disqualification

11.1 The Promoter may disqualify an entry where it reasonably believes that the entrant:
  • a. does not meet the eligibility requirements;
  • b. has attempted to obtain more than one entry;
  • c. has provided false, incomplete or misleading information;
  • d. has interfered with or attempted to manipulate the operation of the Prize Draw;
  • e. has breached these terms and conditions; or
  • f. has acted fraudulently or dishonestly in connection with the Prize Draw.
11.2 Where an entrant is disqualified after being selected as a winner, the Promoter may offer the Prize to a reserve winner selected under clause 6.3.

12. Changes, suspension or cancellation

12.1 The Promoter may amend, suspend or cancel the Prize Draw only where this is reasonably necessary because of circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
12.2 If the Promoter makes a material change, it will:
  • a. take reasonable steps to minimise disappointment or disadvantage to entrants;
  • b. ensure that entrants who have already qualified are treated fairly; and
  • c. communicate the change through the channels used to promote the Prize Draw.
12.3 The Promoter will not amend these terms retrospectively in a way that materially disadvantages entrants, except where reasonably necessary to address circumstances beyond its reasonable control or to comply with applicable law or regulatory requirements.

13. Limitation of liability

13.1 Nothing in these terms and conditions excludes or limits the Promoter’s liability for:
  • a. death or personal injury caused by its negligence;
  • b. fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation; or
  • c. any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded or limited.
13.2 Subject to clause 13.1, the Promoter will not be responsible for loss or damage arising from circumstances beyond its reasonable control.
13.3 Nothing in these terms limits an entrant’s statutory rights.

14. Availability of these terms

14.1 These terms and conditions will be available throughout the Prize Draw Period on the Promoter’s website.
14.2 Entrants should retain a copy of these terms and conditions for their records.
14.3 Any promotional communication relating to the Prize Draw should be read together with these terms and conditions.

15. General

15.1 By participating in the Prize Draw, entrants agree to be bound by these terms and conditions.
15.2 If any provision of these terms is found to be invalid or unenforceable, the remaining provisions will continue in full force and effect.
15.3 A failure or delay by the Promoter in exercising any right under these terms will not constitute a waiver of that right.

16. Governing law and jurisdiction

16.1 These terms and conditions and the Prize Draw are governed by English law.
16.2 Entrants retain any mandatory legal rights available to them under the laws of the part of the United Kingdom in which they live.
16.3 The courts of the part of the United Kingdom in which an entrant lives will have jurisdiction in relation to any dispute arising from the Prize Draw.
