Registration FAQs

Participants are challenged to walk 100km with their dog in October, to raise funds for Marie Curie, so we can so we can provide more care for people at the end of life, whatever the illness.

No, this event is free for anyone to take part. However, any money you can raise for Marie Curie would really help us to reach more people who need our support.

The only thing that matters is that you challenge yourself. However much you achieve, we're so grateful for your support and for raising much needed funds for Marie Curie.

No, you can take part if you're 10 or 110! But, if you're under 16, you will need a parent or guardian to sign you up to the challenge. Please email events@social.mariecurie.org.uk with permission from your parent or guardian.

If you need more encouragement to meet your fundraising goals, there are extra treats along the way:

  • raise £30 and receive a collapsible dog bowl
  • raise £150 and receive a medal to wear and show the superstar you are.

Please expect to wait up to 2 weeks for your rewards to arrive.

Fundraising FAQs

Set up your fundraising page and share the link on your social media channels and WhatsApp so your friends, family and colleagues can see you're doing something amazing. Personalise your fundraising page by sharing your reason for raising money for Marie Curie and update it with a picture of your and doggo. Still struggling for ideas? Email fundraising@mariecurie.org.uk.

Unfortunately, it appears that Facebook have removed this option. We recommend setting up a JustGiving page instead.

All sponsorship will come directly to Marie Curie. You don't have to worry about this, it happens automatically.

You can download the Kilometre tracker to keep track of your challenge or you can use your own fitness tracking apps to see where your up to.

Absolutely! It's your personal challenge and we encourage everyone to adapt it to suit their needs and goals.

Yes, you can absolutely take part as a team. You can set up a team fundraiser on JustGiving, but remember to receive your doggie bandana everyone must still register individually. Link to follow.
