Your guide to managing daffodil boxes in your area

Key information about your daffodil box pack.

Thanks for volunteering for the Great Daffodil Appeal!

Every daffodil box you place in your community allows us to provide more expert hospice care, in people’s homes and in our hospices across the UK, as well as reassurance and practical support over the phone when people need it most.
This is your digital guide. Please read this page once you've received your daffodil box pack as it explains next steps and key information to support you.
If you have any questions, get in touch with your Community Fundraiser, or call our Supporter Relations Team on 0800 716 146.
We'll continue to use up as much of our existing stock as possible so you may also still receive old brand stock in your Great Daffodil Appeal orders.

The online portal for ordering your daffodil boxes will soon be live.

If you're placing your own order, you'll receive an email containing a link to the online order portal. There, you can fill out your details and place an order for your daffodil boxes and other supporting materials you may need.
If you have any issues, need support, or your Community Fundraiser is placing the order on your behalf, don't hesitate to get in touch with them to discuss this further.
For order support, please see our order portal guidance document. Your Community Fundraiser can send you this if you need it.

It's lovely when making my visits to see the daffodil in families' homes, or to see people out and about wearing their daffodil. It's a reminder of why our supporters and volunteers are collecting donations.
Many people want to contribute after they've had personal experience with Marie Curie. For me, it's important to wear my daffodil when I can.

What you can find in your daffodil box pack

Here's a summary of what was available to order from the CDL order site. Depending on what you ordered, these are the items that are likely to be in your pack.

Downloadable forms

We're continuing to work to limit our printing at Marie Curie, to help with our carbon footprint and to keep the charity's costs down. That's why the forms you'll need are now also available digitally.

Where should you place your boxes?

You're the expert in your area. If you've volunteered for Marie Curie in the past, consider which boxes have performed well for previous campaigns and keep an eye out over the next couple of months for any new opportunities.
Remember to keep a record of where you place your boxes, as we'll ask for this information at the end of the appeal.
Marie Curie will also be placing some boxes in our retail shops, and at businesses where we have an existing partnership, including:
  • Morrisons stores
  • SPAR stores
  • Superdrug stores
  • Savers stores
  • Hotter Shoes stores.
We'll keep updating this list. Please don't place or collect boxes in these locations, as they're managed by our Corporate Fundraising team.
