Research into Practice Conference 2026

The Marie Curie Research into Practice Conference will take place the week commencing Monday 23 February 2026.

About the conference

When: Week commencing Monday 23 February
Where: Online

The 2026 Marie Curie Research into Practice Conference will focus on some of the top 24 Priorities recently identified and prioritised by people with lived and professional experience in the refresh of the Palliative and end of life care Priority Setting Partnership with the James Lind Alliance.

Following the success of Marie Curie’s previous online conferences, with last year’s attracting over 2,100 registrations from 44 countries, our conference in 2026 will take place online again.

Who can attend?

We continue to keep the conference free and open for all to attend. This supports our aim to make research and evidence accessible to everyone to support impact on practice and policy.

We welcome anyone with an interest in improving palliative and end of life care for all. Registrations for the conference open later in the year. If you would like to know what to expect, you can watch all our previous conference recordings.

Call for abstracts

Through this call we are inviting abstracts for short oral presentations and/or posters.

Call for spotlight sessions

Once again, we welcome proposals for well-developed one-hour spotlight sessions. The purpose of these sessions is to provide a comprehensive overview of a particular topic, with opportunities for engagement from conference delegates.
