The latest Research Grants Scheme call for research focuses on improving the quality of care and discharge processes in hospitals for people with palliative and end of life care needs. We’re inviting proposals from clinical / allied health professional researchers working in hospital settings and non-clinical researchers with connections to hospitals.
This call responds to key priorities identified in the Palliative and End of Life Care Priority Setting Partnership with the James Lind Alliance:
  • How can the quality of palliative and end of life care in hospital be improved? What helps or hinders improvement?
  • How can discharge from hospital be improved for people with any serious life-limiting illness?
For this call, Marie Curie has partnered with Royal Brompton and Harefield Hospitals Charity and Leeds Hospitals Charity. This exciting partnership means there will be dedicated funding for specific areas of research, within the wider call. For further details on the funding available, read through the scope and applicant guidance.
