Looking after a family member or friend can be rewarding and challenging. Marie Curie can help you feel prepared – from day-to-day caring to getting support for yourself.
Am I a carer?
It can be hard to recognise yourself as a carer – you might feel like you're simply supporting someone important to you. But understanding your role can help you get the right support.
Our Community is a space for you to share thoughts, feelings and experiences. The Marie Curie Support Line team moderate this Community, and are also here to help with your questions.
“It was good to just talk about some of the nuances of being a carer and then life 'post-carer'. Taking care of my Nan became my identity – and overnight, that disappeared for me.”
There are so many reasons I'm proud to support Marie Curie. The organisation helps so many people and it listens and uses feedback, so our input always feels valued.
