Prudential RideLondon 2020: logistics on the day

We can’t wait to meet you and cheer you on at this year's Prudential RideLondon race weekend. Check out the information below to find out about collecting you pack at the Expo, and the support we'll be offering on the day.

RideLondon Expo

This is where you need to go to pick up your race number and timing chip for the big day. The Expo runs from the Thursday to the Saturday, and you need to make sure you go at some point to collect your pack. We won't be there, but do have a look around at stands. There will be lots to look at and you'll have the chance to pick up any last-minute gear or supplies.

The Expo is open at the following times:

  • Thursday 13 August: 10am to 8pm
  • Friday 14 August: 10am to 8pm
  • Saturday 15 August: 8:30am to 5pm.

Be aware that Saturday will be the busiest day, and there are always queues to get in. Make sure you factor this into your plans. More information about the Expo, and what to do if you're unable to collect your race number in person, please take a look at the excellent FAQs on the Prudential RideLondon website.

Marie Curie cheer points

We’ll have a dedicated Marie Curie cheer point along the route at Kingston-upon-Thames to make sure you feel supported as you take on this incredible challenge. The cheer points are at 25 miles (outward) and 86 miles (inward) on the route.

We’ll be hard to miss ... Look out for the yellow flags, banners and bunting! Our exact position will be:

  • London Rd, Kingston upon Thames KT2 6NH* (the postcode is opposite the VSO building)
  • the cheer station will be manned between 7am and 3pm so we can see as many of our riders as possible.

If you’ve got friends, family or colleagues coming along, why not ask them to come and join us at our Marie Curie cheer points? We'll kit them out with all things yellow. Plus, we’ll have banger sticks and whistles to help them make as much noise as possible!

*Please note while we aim to be at this exact location, sometimes on the day it's not possible – so just look out for our yellow flags and balloons which will help you spot us.

Cheer packs

If your friends and family can’t make it along to our dedicated cheer points, we can send them out some cheer materials so they have everything they need to spur you on rom wherever they are. If you'd like one of these, please email event.delivery@mariecurie.org.uk, telling us:

  • how many supporters you have coming along
  • where we should send their cheer materials.

We’ll be sending them out a few weeks before event day.

After the race

We’d love you to join us at a post-race picnic in Green Park. We'll be in the meet and greet area, near the letter 'M' - look out for lots of yellow and you'll spot us! You and your friends and family are welcome to join us to celebrate you finishing the ride.

Join us for a tasty buffet of delicious sandwiches and treats and drinks, and maybe even a beer. Can't wait to see you there!

Don’t forget…

You’ll soon receive your final instructions magazine in the post, (if you haven’t got it already). Do make sure you read this carefully. It’ll be full of really important information and the timings you need to know before the big day.
