In the lead up to your Beat the Trails event, you'll get access to our hiking hub with training plans and fundraising materials to help you beat your fundraising target and prepare for the big day.

No! When your sign up as a team, you can each choose which distance you want to take on. You can still all fundraise and train together but complete different distances on the day.

Once we've received your £207 fundraising pledge, you'll be eligible for a Beat the Trails T-shirt to wear with pride on the day of your hike.

We'll be announcing some exciting incentives to help you reach (and beat!) your fundraising goals – watch this space.

Our event partner regularly monitors the weather along the route in advance of a trek, and they'll advise us of any safety concerns before the event goes ahead. Any decision to cancel the event will be based on their expert advice. If we're advised to cancel the event, we'll get in touch with all participants immediately.
If weather conditions deteriorate during a trek, specialists assisting us on the day will be patroling the route and assessing the weather and terrain. Any decision to cancel or curtail the event will come from them and will only be taken if they consider the health and safety of the participants to be at risk.

We ask that you don't bring your dogs as we'll be encountering livestock on all of the Beat the Trails routes.

There will be parking available at each of the trails. Parking charges may apply at some venues and we encourage car sharing where possible, to split the cost. Any parking charges will be confirmed in your Beat the Trails information booklet (coming soon).We will also provide options for those traveling in on public transport.

Yes! Training for your event is the best way to reach the fitness and stamina you'll need to beat the trail! We'll send you dedicated training resources and guidance in the lead up to your event.

The minimum age to take part is 14 years. Anyone under the age of 18 must be accompanied by a responsible adult.
If the accompanying responsible adult can't complete the event for whatever reason, any child aged 14 years - 18 years will need to retire from the event as well.

We'll provide a designated kit list to help make sure you have everything you need to beat the trail. It's your responsibility to bring along the correct clothing and kit in order to hike comfortably.

Toilets will be available at the event village where your trek starts from, and at refreshment stops along the route.
