Bath Half Marathon FAQs

Event date

This marathon is being run on 4th March 2018.

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?

When will I receive my official race day information and race number?

Packs are predominately sent throughout February to both own place and charity place runners. These are sent out by the race organisers. The packs will include on-the-day information, your running number and race chip. Please do read all the enclosed information carefully. 

When does the race start? 

(Please note these are 2017 times, 2018 times will be updated in due course) 

The race starts from Great Pulteney Street at 11am. Many runners arrive at the village by 9am. Our help desk will be open from 8am. At 10am we will open the start pens and begin the task of getting you all into place ready for the start. 

Where do I finish the race?

You’ll finish pretty much where you started in the Runners’ Village. 

Will there be toilets and drinks stations?

Toilets are provided at all first aid posts and at all drinks stations. There are further toilets in the Runners’ Village and inside the assembly area for each start bay.

Bottled water and Lucozade Sport will be provided on the left-hand kerb at the following locations on the half marathon course:

  • Bottled water: 2 miles, 5 miles, 8 miles, 10.5 miles, 12.5 miles
  • Lucozade Sport (orange flavour): 4.5 miles, 10 miles 

Further water and energy drinks are provided after the finish of the half marathon and fun run.

What will I receive as part of Team Marie Curie?

As part of the team you’ll receive:

  • Running Zone with training plans, tips and advice
  • Regular e-newsletters with fundraising support and advice to help you smash your target
  • On-the-day support from our dedicated events team
  • A Marie Curie running vest
  • On-hand support from our fundraising team
  • Hero’s welcome and refreshments waiting for you in the charity village 

Where will Marie Curie be on the day? 

We’ll have dedicated cheer points so we can support you as you take on the challenge of this incredible event. We’ll also have a marquee in the charity village which you can come along to after the race. More information about our cheer points and the charity village will be sent to you closer to the event. 

What if I need to update my personal details?

If you need to update your details please inform the event organisers. You can get in contact with them on their website
Please make sure you also let us know of any changes.

What’s the age limit?

Half marathon entrants must be 17 years or older on race day. 

What should I do about travel and accommodation? 

The best place to find information on transport and accommodation is on Bath Half Marathon website  .
