London 10,000 FAQs

This 10km is being run on 28 May 2018.

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?

When will I receive my official race day information and race number?

Race packs will be sent via Royal Mail post two weeks prior to Race Day. Your race pack will include your running number, IPICO Sports tag, Final Instructions booklet, baggage bag, safety pins and wire twist ties. 

When does the race start? 

(Please note these are 2017 times, 2018 times will be updated on the offical race website) 

The race starts at 10.00am starting at St. James’s Park and using Green Park as its assembly area. 

Where do I finish the race?

You will finish the race at St. James’ Park where you started. 

Will there be toilets and drinks stations?

Buxton Natural Mineral Water will be available to runners at the 3km and 6km marks of the race. Buxton Natural Mineral Water will also be available in the assembly area in Green Park.

There are no toilets along the course. However, there will be toilets available to runners in the assembly area in Green Park. Please make use of these before making your way to the Start Line.

What will I receive as part of Team Marie Curie?

As part of the team you’ll receive:

  • access to ourRunning Zone with training plans, tips and advice
  • regular e-newsletters with fundraising support and advice to help you smash your target
  • on-the-day support from our dedicated events team
  • a Marie Curie running vest / t-shirt
  • on-hand support from our fundraising team
  • hero’s welcome and refreshments waiting for you in the charity village 

Where will Marie Curie be on the day? 

We’ll have dedicated cheer points so we can support you as you take on the challenge of this incredible event. We’ll also have a marquee in the charity village which you can come along to after the race. More information about our cheer points and the charity village will be sent to you closer to the event. 

What if I need to update my personal details?

Please email helpdesk@londonmarathonevents.co.uk with your old and new details. Your details will then be changed in the system and a confirmation will be emailed to you when this has been done. Please do not call the helpdesk with changes of address as these can only be processed by email.

What’s the age limit? 

Entrants must be 18 years or older on race day. 

What should I do about travel and accommodation? 

The best place to find information on transport and accommodation is on the London 10,000   website.
