Thank you for running the TCS London Marathon in aid of Marie Curie.
Whether you have a charity place with a fundraising target of £2,500, or you have your own place and your own personal target – we want to ensure you have plenty of advice, tips and inspiration to get you started.
Set up your fundraising page
Enthuse and JustGiving are both platforms that makes donation and sponsoring simple. All donations sent through a Marie Curie fundraising page comes directly to us, so there's no need to chase up donation money, this does include any money that comes in after the run is finished.
Enthuse is the official fundraising platform for London Marathon, and a page should be automatically set up for you if you have a charity place. If you are yet to set up an online fundraising page, use the links below to get started.
- Set up an Enthuse page

Collecting donations
If you’re fundraising through Enthuse or JustGiving, your sponsorship will automatically come to us, so there’s nothing you need to do.
If you have offline donations you need to pay in you can do these in several ways:
Fundraising page You can add any offline donations onto your fundraising page as a lump donation. This is the easiest and most simplest way to pay in your donations.
Telephone Call 0800 716 146 to make a card payment over the phone.
Post Send a cheque (made payable to Marie Curie) with your completed sponsorship forms to:

When sending or paying in any offline donations by phone or post, remember to include the name of the event you’re taking part in and that your name is clearly written on any sponsorship forms.
If you are planning to collect donations offline, whether or not that’s at an organised event or via collection tins in shops and restaurants, please don’t bring any offline donations to the marathon or the running show before as we aren’t able to process any money in person.
Post event fundraising tips
Once you’ve completed your event, you deserve to shout about your achievement – and this can also boost your fundraising! Last year we continued to see donations to Marie Curie come in after the event had ended.
Here are some tips to keep fundraising after the event:
- Share pictures from the marathon on social media – pictures and videos of you crossing the finish line and collecting your medal always goes down well!
- Add an update to your fundraising page – let your donors know how you’re feeling and how incredible the experience was for you and your family.
- Follow up with your supporters to thank people – your supporters will be keen to know how you got on.
