Buzz builds as The Great Daffodil Appeal begins

With just one day to go until the official launch of Marie Curie's The Great Daffodil Appeal, some of our supporters have taken to Twitter to share their excitement while others have pledged their support on Facebook. We’ve pulled together a selection of the best content from social media, from actor Warwick Davis donning a daff hat to fantastic businesses supporting our appeal.

Our wonderful collectors will be out in force throughout March, so don’t forget to say hello and donate for a daffodil pin. We only need £20 for a Marie Curie Nurse to care for someone in your area for an hour, helping families make the most of the time they have left together.

And it’s not too late to sign up to collect for the appeal.

The Great Daffodil Appeal runs across the UK throughout March.

Supportive celebrities

Actor Warwick Davis stepped in to support the appeal with this brilliant pic, which attracted more than 5,000 Facebook likes.

And former Olympic-medal-winning swimmer Sharron Davis also donned a daffodil for us. Thanks Sharron.

All smiles

While staff at law firm McArthur Stanton gave us a big grin as they received their box of daffodils.

Daffodil dogs

You don’t have to be human to help our appeal, as Samantha Eden's adorable bulldog Mabel shows. This  was one of many daffodil dogs uploaded to Facebook, and somehow, we don't think it'll be the last during the Great Daffodil Appeal!
