Frankie Bridge asks UK shoppers to come together in aid of Marie Curie

Press release published

‘Help me make #FeelSuper history and raise half a million pounds’

One product = One donation campaign

Celebrity mum of two Frankie Bridge is asking UK shoppers to be part of history and help reach a huge £500,000 raised for Marie Curie as part of the #FeelSuper campaign; where every purchase of donating P&G products at Superdrug, including Oral B, Olay and Gillette, triggers a donation to Marie Curie – the UK’s leading terminal illness charity.

This comes as figures from Marie Curie reveal that half of the UK’s over 50’s are not confident they will get the care they need towards the end of their life1, and nearly a fifth (19%) of people who have lost someone, feel that better end of life care could have helped them preserve memories of happier times2.

In its third consecutive year, the #FeelSuper campaign, in partnership with Superdrug continues to go from strength to strength. With a historic £500,000 in sight, Frankie has been looking back on the successes of the campaign so far and how the continued support from Superdrug shoppers has impacted on the lives of people living with terminal illnesses, their friends and families. Not only does Frankie want to say a big thank you to everyone who has helped so far, but show them how their contributions to the campaign have had a direct impact on so many lives, and why it is so important to keep up the good work.

Frankie says, “I’ve seen first-hand the effect money raised through the #FeelSuper campaign has on the lives of those living with terminal illnesses, their friends and their families. I want to thank everyone who has supported us so far and ask them to get behind us once again and get to our goal of £500,000. It’s so easy to get involved, simply treat yourself to your everyday purchases such as Oral-B toothpaste or Pantene shampoo and ‘Feel Super’ knowing that your small purchase is making a big difference.”

Annemarie Muir, Customer Team Leader, P&G UK and Ireland, says, “In its third year, we are no less inspired and committed to raising funds for Marie Curie. We are delighted that shoppers continue to buy donating P&G products at Superdrug, and have already raised so much, there’s still so much to be done to support the people who really need it so it’s important that we don’t stop now.”

Dr Jane Collins, Chief Executive of Marie Curie, says, “The #FeelSuper campaign gives people such an easy way to support Marie Curie. Every contribution, no matter how big or small, makes a real difference to people’s lives. Our ageing population means more and more people are living with a terminal illness and the money raised from simply purchasing P&G products in Superdrug will help Marie Curie to continue providing vital care and support to people living with a terminal illness, and their loved ones.”

Simon Comins, Commercial Director for Superdrug added, “It’s been a privilege to see how successful the campaign has been and an honour to work with our amazing ambassador Frankie Bridge over the last three years. Superdrug is extremely proud to support Marie Curie as part of the #FeelSuper campaign, both colleagues and customers have gone above and beyond to help Marie Curie patients receive the care and support they need.”

From the 20th September to the 17th October you can get involved and #FeelSuper with brands such as Oral B, Olay, Gillette, Pantene and many more, P&G will make a donation to Marie Curie. One product = One donation.
