When is this event?

The 2023 event will take place on Sunday 7 May.

Where is the event?

The race starts and ends at Jennens Road. For more information see the route map on the Great Birmingham Run website.

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?

Not a problem! If you have a ballot/general entry place you will need to contact the event organisers & us. If you have a Marie Curie place our supporter relations team can help you. Email them on team@mariecurie.org.uk

When will I receive my race day information and running number?

All runners who have been accepted into the race will be sent a race pack by post which will include important race information, race number and timing chip.

If you secured your entry more than 4 weeks before the event date, your race number and timing chip should start to arrive 2 weeks before. If you entered 3 weeks before, it will arrive 1 week prior. If you secured your entry with in the last 2 weeks, it should arrive 5 days before (by the Wednesday of the event week).

If you secure your place after the cut off date for postage, as detailed on the entry form and the event's website, you'll need to collect your run number and timing chip from our information point on the weekend of the event.

Please note, the organisers are unable to post run packs outside of the UK as they cannot guarantee their safe delivery. They're made ready for collection from the information point.

See the organiser FAQ's for more information.

Will there be toilets and drinks stations?

Details about support on race day can be found in the organiser's event guide  on their website.

Will there be baggage facilities on the day?

Yes there will be. More details about the location will be added to the organiser's website.

Before leaving your belongings in the baggage facility, make sure you fill in your baggage label by removing it from your run number and attaching it to your bag. To gain access to the baggage area and to collect your bag you will need to show your run number.

Please don't leave valuables in your bag – this will be a self-service system and although security staff will be present, organisers can't accept any responsibility for lost or stolen items.

What should I do about travel and accommodation?

The best place to find information about transport and accommodation is the organiser's event guide   and website  . Do try and book early, to get the best choice and best deals!
