Have a burning question about your upcoming event? These FAQs should cover everything you need to know. If there’s something we haven’t answered please feel free to get in touch – at team@mariecurie.org.uk or on 0845 052 4184.

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?
Not a problem! If you have a ballot/general entry place you will need to contact the event organisers and us. If you have a Marie Curie place our supporter relations team can help you.

When will I receive my official race day information?
The event organisers should send you everything you need to know ahead of the big day. Some races send a pack in the post with race numbers and details, but others will email you about collecting your number before you head to the start line. Do check out the information provided by the organisers on their website, social media and by email.
Will there be toilets and drinks stations?
Details about support on race day can be found on the organiser's website.
What should I do about travel and accommodation?
The best place to find information about transport and accommodation is the event website. Do try and book early, to get the best choice and best deals!
What will I receive as part of Team Marie Curie?
As part of the team you’ll receive:
- Event Zones with training plans, tips and advice
- Regular e-newsletters with fundraising support and advice to help you smash your target
- Marie Curie kit
- On-hand local support from our fundraising team
- You can also request a cheer pack for your friends and family to use on the day to cheer you on
What is my fundraising target?
If you've bought a Marie Curie place in an event, you'll see your fundraising target in your emails. If you have a ballot or public entry place, you don't have a target but we hope you'll raise as much as you can to support Marie Curie.
What if my Marie Curie top hasn't arrived or is the wrong size?
Please contact us as soon as possible so we can get one out to you ahead of race day!
Where will Marie Curie be on event day?
We try our best to come along and cheer on #TeamMarieCurie at as many races as possible, but unfortunately our small team aren't able to be at every one. If you'd like any cheer kit for your friends and family to create your own personal cheer squad, get in touch and we can post you some!
What are the organisers doing about social distancing and safety at the event?
Marie Curie are working with event organisers to make sure any future events are safe and are following current Government guidelines. You can find more about plans and health and safety provisions by visiting the event website.
