2015 Conference: The future of palliative care – call for abstracts

Marie Curie, the leading UK charity caring for terminally ill people and their families, alongside the Palliative Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine (RSM) today announce their open call for research abstracts as part of their annual conference.
 
The Marie Curie Annual Palliative Care Research Conference, held jointly with the Palliative Care Section of the RSM, focuses on the Future of Palliative Care and will be held on Friday 27 March 2015 at the Royal Society of Medicine, London.

Delegates will hear from experts who are at the forefront of shaping the future of palliative care. They will also hear talks on quality and costing of palliative care, as well as the role social media has in palliative care and research.
 
Abstracts for short presentations and/or posters on research in palliative and end of life care are invited. Whilst abstracts relevant to the future of palliative care are more likely to be chosen for oral presentation, submissions on any subject in palliative and end of life care are welcomed.

Abstract(s) must be submitted electronically by 5pm on Friday 5 December 2014 to jennifer.tuft@mariecurie.org.uk.

Applicants will receive an e-mail confirming receipt of their abstract.

If a confirmation e-mail is not received within 3 working days please contact Jennifer Tuft. Marie Curie will aim to notify all applicants on the success of their submission by Friday 19 December 2014.

The RSM Palliative Care Section promotes a scientific approach to and understanding of the palliative management of patients, their families and carers. The objectives of the Section include to stimulate research collaboration between Section members and other disciplines, to serve as a link between disciplines in palliative care and to disseminate good practice and establish standards.
