Cardiff Hospice joins Dementia Friendly Cardiff pledge
Press release published
Cardiff Council and the Alzheimer's Society has launched Dementia Friendly Cardiff as part of World Alzheimer’s Day today. Here's why the Marie Curie Hospice in Cardiff and the Vale has signed up to the pledge:
“We have now signed our pledge and launched our plan towards becoming a Dementia Friendly hospice, as part of Cardiff’s Dementia Friendly Community," said Monica Reardon, project manager for the Including Diverse Communities in End of Life Care Big Lottery funded project.
"The work we are doing will enable us to ensure the support and environment that we provide meets the needs of people with dementia and continue providing high-quality person-centred care to all patients, regardless of diagnosis.
"Thank you for all of your support thus far and I am excited to see how our progress continues.”
