HC-One homes support Blooming Great Tea Party

Press release published

On Friday (17 June 2016), HC-One homes across the country will be opening their doors to host a “Right Royal Blooming Great Tea Party” to mark the Queen’s official birthday and to raise money for Marie Curie.

This is the fourth annual Care Home Open Day which is an important opportunity for the public to learn more about the services at the heart of their community. Residents, relatives and members of the community will be getting together and getting creative, whilst recognising the important work that care teams do.

This year, HC-One Care Homes is aiming to raise £21,400 for charitable partner Marie Curie, with their event on 17 June during the Blooming Great Tea Party campaign.

Blooming Great Tea Party is Marie Curie's summer fundraising campaign and encourages everyone to get together with friends and family to hold a tea party between 20-29 June.  Tea parties across the UK have raised over £4.5 million since the campaign started in 2008.

HC-One’s Chairman Dr Chai Patel said:
We are thoroughly looking forward to this year’s Care Home Open Day. HC-One homes across the country are organising a range of exciting activities to celebrate the Queen’s birthday and raise money for our charitable partner Marie Curie.
“Organising memorable events like this and inviting the local community to join in is a big part of how HC-One provide the kindest care for our Residents and foster genuine community spirit around our homes.”
