Inpatient services resume at Marie Curie Hospice Cardiff and Vale
Comment published
After recent news that the evolving covid-19 situation in Wales is tracking a flatter trajectory than first expected, Cardiff and Vale University Health Board and Marie Curie have jointly decided to reopen the inpatient services at the Marie Curie Hospice Cardiff and Vale in Penarth.
Front line staff from Marie Curie have been trained and prepared to help provide their expertise across the Health Board’s sites and community services if required. However, after carefully considering the developing covid-19 position, and evaluating the importance of providing inpatient services at the hospice during this crucial time, both parties have agreed for Marie Curie staff to remain at the hospice.
We’d like to thank the team for being so co-operative and dedicated during this process. We truly believe that reopening the inpatients service at the hospice will help provide comfort and much-valued support for those who need it most.
