ITV1’s charity fundraiser Text Santa to support Marie Curie

Press release published

Marie Curie is excited to announce it has been chosen to benefit from ITV's annual Christmas Charity appeal - Text Santa, along with five other UK charities.

Text Santa will be returning to ITV1 this Christmas with a night of star-studded entertainment that will raise awareness and funds for the charity, both in the run up to the show and during the evening itself.

The money raised from the appeal will help Marie Curie Nurses to provide more free care to people with terminal cancer and other illnesses, in their own homes or one of the charity’s nine hospices.

Fabian French, Director of Fundraising at Marie Curie said: “I am thrilled that we have been selected to be one of the benefiting charities from this year’s Text Santa appeal. It’s a great opportunity to raise really significant amounts of money and raise awareness of our vital work with terminally ill patients and their families over the Christmas period.”

This year Text Santa will also be creating opportunities for people to be more involved. They'll be suggested fundraising activities as well as a call to action around volunteering.
