Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium Hosts ‘Alice in Wonderland’ Blooming Great Tea Party in Support of Marie Curie
Press release published
Marie Curie launched its Blooming Great Tea Party in London on 27 May with an ‘Alice in Wonderland’ themed tea party at Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium in Shoreditch. The charity is asking everyone to get involved by hosting their own tea party this June. Whether it’s with friends, family, neighbours or workmates, it’s always great to share a cuppa, afternoon tea or even a summer garden party. Holding a Blooming Great Tea Party is the perfect way to do just that while raising money for Marie Curie Cancer Care. The money raised at Blooming Great Tea Parties will allow Marie Curie Nurses to continue to provide more free care to people with terminal illnesses in the comfort of their own home or at one of our hospices. It is so important for people to be able to spend their final days feeling comfortable, well looked after and surrounded by the people and things they care about most. Lizzi Hollis, community fundraiser at Marie Curie said: “We were so excited to have the London launch of the Blooming Great Tea party at Lady Dinah’s Cat Emporium. With thanks also to Mad World Fancy Dress for donating costume hire free of charge. We rely on the generous support of the local community to ensure more terminally ill people can receive care when they need it most and hosting a tea party is a fantastic way to gather friends and family together in support of our nurses.” To hold a Blooming Great Tea Party between 20 – 29 June and receive a free fundraising pack call 0845 052 4184 or visit www.mariecurie.org.uk/teaparty |
