In response to the publication today of the Government’s Giving Green Paper, Thomas Hughes-Hallett, Chief Executive of Marie Curie and Chair of the independent Philanthropy Review said: "The introduction of this Green Paper is an indication that the government is honouring its commitment to foster philanthropy. The independent Philanthropy Review - A fresh look at the role of giving in shaping our society, was launched in November and is being carried out by leaders from the world of philanthropy, business and the Third Sector. “We will engage with Government, business, charitable foundations and the public at large in reaching our conclusions as to how these incentives can be made more effective, and new incentives introduced both fiscal and non-fiscal and with that evidence, submit a response to this paper."
