Marie Curie comment on weddings for terminally ill in Wales lockdown easing measures

In response to the Welsh Government's lockdown easing measure allowing weddings and civil partnerships if the bride or groom is terminally ill.
Simon Jones, Marie Curie Director of Policy and Public Affairs, said: “We welcome the Welsh Government’s announcement that weddings and civil partnerships can take place from Monday if the bride or groom is terminally ill.
“Such a milestone is very important both emotionally and for the financial security of the bereaved partner, and we hope it can be a comfort to people living with a terminal illness, and their loved ones, that they can go ahead with such a special and memorable occasion in these difficult times.”
