Marie Curie Senior Policy and Research Manager, Rachel Warren, said: "Marie Curie welcomes the positive vision for social care set out by the Archbishops' Commission on Reimagining Care in their report released this week.
"Many people with a terminal illness are struggling to access the social care they need at home and as a result find themselves in crisis at the end of their lives and left with little choice but to remain in hospital.
"We want the Government to urgently inject the short-term funding needed to address the current crisis in social care – and also deliver a long-term plan for ensuring that everyone at the end of life can access the affordable and high quality social care they need in the future."
