Marie Curie responds to sad news of Lynda Bellingham’s death

Comment published

Following the death of actress Lynda Bellingham from terminal colon cancer, Jane Collins, Chief Executive of Marie Curie, said:

“Our condolences to the family of Lynda Bellingham. She bravely remained in the public eye during her final weeks, sharing with us all her love of life and her courageous acceptance that she was going to die. The benefit for others going through distressing times of their own is to have that language of acceptance being used by someone in the public eye. At Marie Curie we try to enable people to lead the best life possible when they have a terminal illness. Lynda will have helped many families start that conversation.”
