Response to Scottish Government’s publication of cancer plan

Comment published

In response to the publication of the Scottish Government’s Cancer Strategy published on 15 March 2016, Richard Meade, Head of Policy and Public Affairs Scotland said:

“For many people living with terminal cancer the support they need is simply not available fast enough, whether that’s hands on care or social security benefits. We welcome the Scottish Government's commitment to ensure everyone who needs palliative care has access to it by 2021. We look forward to working with them, Health and Social Care Partnerships and others to ensure that this ambition is delivered.”
