Marie Curie response to the Queen's speech

In response to the Queen's speech, our Director of Policy and Public Affairs Simon Jones said:
"We are pleased to see that Government have included a commitment to rethink social care in today's Queen's speech, however we are disappointed with the lack of details around the scope and timing of this consultation. We know that for people affected by a terminal illness, social care can be crucial in allowing them the dignified death they want and deserve. The Government must ensure that regardless of location, age or illness, appropriate social care is available to support both patients and families affected.
"It is vital that the consultation is released quickly and calls for input across the sector to deliver a solution to the social care crisis once and for all."
