Registration to attend Marie Curie Annual Palliative Care Research Conference now open

This year’s Marie Curie Annual Palliative Care Research Conference, held jointly with the Palliative Care Section of the Royal Society of Medicine, is to take place at the Royal Society of Medicine on Friday 28 March 2014. The conference will focus on palliative care in the community – making a difference in practice. Key note speakers include:
Interactive poster presentations will be available throughout the day covering the latest research in palliative and end of life care in the community. Dr Bill Noble, Medical Director at Marie Curie and Conference Chair said: “Our annual conference provides a unique opportunity for researchers and palliative care professionals to come together. We want everyone to be able to have the care they want and need, with support available for them and their families.” Dr Fliss Murtagh, of the Royal Society of Medicine Palliative Care Section Council, added: “It is a pleasure to work with Marie Curie again on this annual conference. Previous conferences have provided excellent examples of innovative ways to improve care, and the quality of the research is steadily getting higher each year. We are expecting an exciting and engaging day which will again be very popular and a meeting not to miss”. The conference is open to all organisations and healthcare professionals interested in palliative and end of life care. CPD accreditation will be available for medical professionals.
