Response to Scottish Government's Mental Health Strategy

Press release published

In response to today's (30 March 2017) Scottish Government publication of Mental Health Strategy 2017-2027Richard Meade Head of Policy & Public Affairs Scotland said:

We welcome the new strategy and are pleased to see that it now makes reference to dying well and supports the needs of terminally ill people and their families. Everyone has a right to palliative and end of life care and it is essential that people with mental health related issues are not forgotten, and their individual needs met.

What’s important now is to move from policy to implementation and to quickly ensure that everyone gets the care they need when they need it
