Response to Scotland Dementia Strategy

Comment published

Responding to the Scottish Government's publication of Scotland's National Dementia Strategy 2017-2020, Richard Meade Marie Curie Head of Policy & Public Affairs Scotland said:

"Dementia is a terminal illness and evidence suggests that people with dementia are less likely than those with other terminal conditions to get palliative care when they need it. It is important that today's new Scottish Government Dementia Strategy includes commitments to improve palliative care for people with dementia. We now need a quick response to this strategy to ensure that everyone gets the care they need from the point they need it."
