Belfast Brain Game 2017
The Belfast Brain Game 2017 took place at the Europa Hotel in the heart of Belfast on Thursday 18 May.
U105FM presenter Frank Mitchell hosted the evening superbly, providing first class entertainment while supervising the quiz. He was supported brilliantly by football manager Michael O’Neill MBE, journalist Alex Kane and performer, director and producer Peter Corry.
Joining us at the quiz were 302 guests from companies across Northern Ireland. Leading advisory firm Grant Thornton were crowned Belfast’s brainiest business out of 29 teams after winning the very special Marie Curie Brain Game trophy. The trophy was designed and produced by Belfast Metropolitan College's foundry department in a special bronze cast.
The event raised an incredible £130,000 for Marie Curie. This will help us provide 6,500 hours of Marie Curie nursing care across Northern Ireland. There are 2,000 Marie Curie Nurses working in villages, towns and cities right across the UK with 120 of those providing care in Northern Ireland. As well as our nursing service, Marie Curie provides high quality nursing care and emotional support in our hospice.
Thank you to all of our guests, supporters and sponsors for making the Belfast Brain Game such a success!
