Have a burning question about your upcoming event? These FAQs should cover everything you need to know. If there’s something we haven’t answered please feel free to get in touch ― at events@mariecurie.org.uk   or on 084 5052 4184.

When is Nightrider London?

This London cycle is taking place overnight on the 11-12 June 2022.

Where is the event?

Nightrider starts and finishes at Lee Valley VeloPark in Stratford at approximately 10pm.

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?

Not a problem! If you have a ballot/general entry place you will need to contact both us and the event organisers. If you have a Marie Curie place our supporter relations team can help you. Email them on events@mariecurie.org.uk

When will I receive my official race day information?

The race information will be emailed from the event organisers about three weeks before the event date. The email will include all the rider information you need ahead of the big day.

Will the roads be closed?

No, you will be cycling on open roads. The route is fully signposted. You will be following the signs and will be able to cycle at your own pace. Please also note there are no marshals en route. You’ll need to be confident cycling in traffic.

Will there be toilets and drinks stations?

Details about support on race day can be found on the organiser's website. Every 25km on the route, there will be free drinks and snack stops. At the finish line, you'll also get a complimentary breakfast too!

What should I do about travel and accommodation?

The best place to find information about transport and accommodation is the Nightrider website. Do try and book early, to get the best choice and best deals!

What will I receive as part of Team Marie Curie?

  • access to our Cyclist Zone with training plans, tips and advice
  • regular e-newsletters with fundraising support and advice to help you smash your target
  • a Marie Curie cycling jersey and iron-on letters
  • plus, if you raise over £500, you'll receive the matching Marie Curie bib shorts!
  • on-hand support from our fundraising team

What is my fundraising target?

If you have a Marie Curie place in the event, your target is £175.

What if my Marie Curie top hasn't arrived or is the wrong size?

Please contact us as soon as possible so we can get one out to you ahead of race day!

What are the organisers doing about social distancing and safety at the event?

Marie Curie are working with event organisers to make sure any future events are safe and are following current Government guidelines. We have plans to make sure any future cheer points and post-race plans are socially distanced, hygienic and safe for our event participants, staff and volunteers. We'll be in touch in the lead up to your event with plans and anything you need to know about your event and the safety measures in place.
