Clothing
- Cycling jerseys
- Fleece - useful in the evenings
- Good quality waterproof/windproof jacket (ideally high viz)
- Socks - for cycling and spares for the evening
- Cycling shorts (padded recommended)
- Cycling shoes
- Cap/Bandana/Buff for sun protection
- Spare jeans, t-shirts, trainers etc. for evenings
Bicycle and accessories
- Recently serviced bike (essential)
- Cycling gloves (long and short fingers)
- Cycle helmet (mandatory – you will not be allowed to cycle without one)
- Plenty of spare inner tubes (at least two)
- Water bottle for bike (or camel pack) and a holder on your bike
- Bell
- A small cycle pump and tyre levers
- A bum bag if your cycling tops do not have pockets so you can keep personal possessions with you.
Storage
- Storage on your bike for carrying small items while cycling (eg. Camera, waterproofs) - optional
- Day bag to go on support vehicle*
- Ear plugs (in case of noisy room mates!)
- Carrier bags – for dirty washing/wet clothes
- Small packet of washing powder/soap (for rinsing clothes in the evenings) - optional
- Camera with spare batteries/memory cards - optional
- Sunglasses or cycle goggles with clear lenses
- Snacks – sweets/trail mix/cereal bars – bring your favourite cycling snacks.
- Energy tablets/electrolyte replacement tablets for adding to drinking water - optional
* Bring a small bag (this can be your hand luggage) to use as your day bag. Day bags will go in the front vehicle for easy access in the breaks during the day.
Main luggage will travel in the back vehicle with limited access, so we recommend packing your day bag with everything you’ll need during the day so you can have easy access to it. You will have time in the evenings to sort out your bags for the day ahead.

- Sun cream at least factor 30+
- Vaseline/sudacrem
- lip salve (with sun protection)
- Antiseptic wipes/ointment
- Plasters/blister kit
- Tissues/wet wipes
- Rehydration powder (dioralyte)
- Anti-diarrhoea tablets (Imodium)
- Cold/flu suppressant
- Throat lozenges
- Muscle rub/deep heat/ibuprofen gel
- Knee supports if required
- Any personal medication that has been prescribed
