Surrounded by some of the nation's most spectacular natural scenery, the Great North Swim is an inspiring outdoor swim in the Lake District. Windermere is England's largest lake, stretching from Ambleside in the North to Newby Bridge in the South.

Don't miss the opportunity to make this a family day out. There are plenty of activities for the whole family, with adventure playgrounds, soft play, arts and crafts and much more. There are also big screens around the event site where family and friends can watch all the action and more importantly witness your big finish.

How to register

Keep checking back as we hope to have places for next year's swim on sale before the of the year.

We will have limited number of guaranteed places for the 1-mile swim which you can do on the Saturday or Sunday. Once you register with us, you will then be able to pick your time and day to swim!

We ask you to commit to raising a minimum of £180 to help Marie Curie Nurses continue to provide care to terminally ill patients and emotional support to their loved ones.
