Royal Parks Half Marathon FAQs

What if I become injured or need to cancel my place?

When will I receive my official race day information and race number?
You can expect your pack to be delivered by the end of September. Packs will be delivered by standard post and no signature will be required upon delivery. Please note that with a large number of packs to be distributed this process takes place over several weeks.
Your race pack contains the following:
- Race bib with timing chip attached
- Technical t-shirt
- Safety pins
- Race day booklet
If you haven't received your race pack by Thursday 27 September, please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
When does the race start?
The race starts at 9am, so we recommend that all participants arrive with plenty of time to spare, so they can drop off any baggage, make use of facilities and prepare themselves for running.
Will the race still start and finish in Hyde Park?
The start and finish of the race remains on The Football Pitches, along South Carriage Drive in Hyde Park.
Will there be drinks stations?
There will be 5 water stations along the route plus 2 chances to pick up some Lucozade Sport, plus provisions at the finish line. The exact water station locations will be confirmed once the 2018 route map is released closer to the day. Keep an eye on the webpage for more details.
What will I receive as part of Team Marie Curie?
As part of the team you’ll receive:
- Running Zone with training plans, tips and advice
- Regular e-newsletters with fundraising support and advice to help you smash your target
- On-the-day support from our dedicated events team
- A Marie Curie running vest
- On-hand support from our fundraising team
- Hero’s welcome and refreshments waiting for you in the charity village
Where will Marie Curie be on the day?
We’ll have dedicated cheer points so we can support you as you take on the challenge of this incredible event. We’ll also have a marquee in the charity village which you can come along to after the race. More information about our cheer points and the charity village will be sent to you closer to the event.
What if I need to update my personal details?
If you need to update your details please inform the event organisers. You can get in contact with them on the Royal Parks website Please make sure you also let us know of any changes.
What’s the age limit?
Half marathon entrants must be 17 years or older on race day.
