An introduction from Reverend Katy Francis, Chaplain and Spiritual Care Lead
2020 has been a difficult year, and we've had to adapt and try to do many things in different ways. This is our offering of a virtual memorial service in the place of our regular services of remembrance that we would hold at the hospice every two months.
These services were lovely poignant events giving space and time to remember our loved ones in a supportive environment. Sadly it's not possible to gather together at the hospice so we've had to think of different ways of meeting to remember.
We hope this virtual memorial service filmed in the grounds of the hospice and in the Reflection Room will bring some solace to those who are grieving, and remind you that you are not alone, that we walk alongside you even from a distance.
You can view the order of service here, which you may wish to print. You may like to have a candle to light during our act of remembrance, a small stone to hold and a photograph of your loved one.
With very best wishes from all at the Marie Curie Hospice, Newcastle.
