How to fundraise your way for Marie Curie – from art shows to sports days
Marie Curie has just launched a whole host of Fundraising My Way resources to help you in your fundraising efforts. Whether you’re arranging an active event like a sponsored swim, or organising a fundraising dinner, we have top tips to guide you and success stories to inspire you. And you can also download our booklet and helpful materials including customisable posters, flyers and bunting. If you’d prefer, then simply request a printed Fundraising My Way pack and we’ll get one in the post to you. Thousands of people each year organise their own fundraising activity for Marie Curie. They have lots of fun along the way and we’re truly grateful for their support. “It was really lovely from a community point of view,” says Lynn Shillito of the Cornish sea swim she organised for Marie Curie. “Most people from Polkerris were involved in some way, whether they were swimming or helping out.” Lynn, who runs a water sports business, saw 60 people sign up to swim a mile. The event raised more than £10,000 for Marie Curie. Don’t forget to share your #fundraisingmyway stories and pictures on Twitter.
