Ending means testing for those at the end of their lives

On Tuesday Marie Curie Cancer Care featured in a Channel 4 News report on end of life care.

The programmes’ health and social care correspondent Victoria Macdonald interviewed our Chief Executive Dr Jane Collins, and Eliza, a patient at the Marie Curie Hospice, Hampstead on what matters most to people at the end of their lives.

The piece mentions our campaign with five other charities to remove the means testing for people in their last months and weeks of life, so they have access to free social care so they can have the support to stay in their own homes.

You can read more about the issue at Victoria Macdonald's blog on the Channel 4 News website.
